Update on Foundation Activities

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

This months issue includes the following achievements:

"Like" our Facebook - Receive a FREE Gift!

For those of us who can remember the excitement of receiving our first fax or using a typewriter to assist in editing, Facebook is quite an experience to embrace. But realistically, Facebook has grown to be equally or more valuable than print ads in significantly growing the F4CP's mission: to generate positive chiropractic messages. With every new individual that embraces Facebook, specifically the F4CP's fan pages, a stream of positive chiropractic messages are generated.

If you are one that falls into the category of not understanding Facebook, dip your toe into the water. We did, and the water is fine!

If you are already familiar with Facebook, be sure to visit the F4CP fan pages frequently.

Every week, the F4CP will update our Facebook fan pages with new marketing materials. Please visit our fan pages at the links below and receive a local/social marketing guidebook, written explicitly by experts at Foundation, and exclusive health tips provided by Dr. Mike Flynn.

Do you know that over 14,000 PCMHs have been certified by NCQA, listed at: www.recognition.ncqa.org? Do you know that the Doctor of Chiropractic has a valuable position within this model, and with the proper education and communication steps can be integrated into local PCMHs?

Foundation Presence in Employee Benefit Plan Review and Ok! Magazine

This past month, the Foundation has achieved attention by two major publications - Ok! magazine and Employee Benefit Plan Review.

Since inception, a main goal of the F4CP is to have media personnel reach out when looking for input from chiropractic professionals. In the case of OK magazine, this is exactly what happened! An editor authoring a story on TLC's hit series, "Toddlers and Tiaras", was in need of a positive chiropractic quote and he reached out to the Foundation. Presently, the following quote by Gerard Clum, DC and F4CP spokesperson, is being read nationwide.

"Chiropractic care for children is a routine and common practice for many families. While most people think of chiropractic care for neck pain or low back pain, many chiropractors and parents appreciate chiropractic care as an important element of a healthy lifestyle and an orientation to wellness in general. With adults or children, if the chiropractor finds restricted motion or other imbalances when palpating the spine or other joints, then a chiropractic adjustment is appropriate."

Dr. Gerard W. Clum, Spokesperson, Foundation for Chiropractic Progress

In addition, a byline article authored by Gerard Clum, DC, regarding the financial, clinical and patient value of chiropractic care, will be featured in an upcoming edition of Employee Benefit Plan Review. A final date for publishing has not yet been established; though look to next month's newsletter for an update.
